🚸 School Parking – Let’s Keep Our Children Safe 🚸

As we head into another busy school week, your Belper Safer Neighbourhood Team is reminding parents and carers to park safely and responsibly around our local schools.
School parking continues to be a local priority, and we’ll be carrying out patrols to help keep everyone safe.

💡 Please remember:

Do not park on zig‑zag lines – these areas must be kept clear to protect children crossing.

Avoid blocking driveways, pavements or junctions – pedestrians, wheelchairs and pushchairs need safe access.

Keep the school entrance clear – emergency vehicles may need to get through quickly.

Do not stop or wait on double yellow lines, even for a quick drop‑off.

Switch off your engine when waiting – cleaner air helps keep our school environments healthy.

Allow extra time for school runs to avoid last‑minute unsafe parking.

👮‍♀️ Our officers will be monitoring parking at peak times.

Unsafe or illegal parking may result in a Penalty Charge Notice or enforcement action.
